A Taste of Eden: Building Intimacy in Marriage

Join us for a weekend designed to help couples grow in gospel-centered intimacy and experience a deeper, richer marriage—even in a fallen world.

Conference Objective

While we may understand the ideal of marriage laid out in Scripture, living it out in the midst of sin—both around us and within us—can be challenging.

This conference will help couples build a strong gospel foundation so that their marriage becomes a safe place for honesty, growth, and grace. As we learn to apply the gospel to everyday struggles, we grow in unity and intimacy.

We may not be able to return to Eden, but we can experience a taste of it in our marriages.

Meet the Aucoins
Dr. Brent Aucoin joined the staff of Faith Church in Lafayette, IN in July of 1998. Brent is the President of Faith Bible Seminary, Chair of the Seminary’s M.Div. Program, Pastor of Seminary and Soul Care at Faith Church (Lafayette, IN); ACBC certified; instructor and counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries; and a retreat and conference speaker. He and his wife, Janet, have two adult children.
Janet is the Director of Women's Ministry at Faith Church (Lafayette, IN); Host of the Joyful Journey Podcast (helping women learn that when you choose truth you choose joy); ACBC certified; teacher in Faith Community Institute; Coordinator of FBS seminary wives fellowship, retreat and conference speaker; B.S. Human Resources, University of South Florida.

Friday Evening

Start the weekend with two foundational sessions and fellowship.

  • Session 2: Making Marriage Delightful
    Learn what causes conflict and how the gospel brings restoration.

Saturday

A full day of practical teaching, encouragement, and application.

  • Session 4: Moving from Conflict to Problem Solving
    Understand the difference between conflict and resolution—and God’s better way.

    Explore God’s design for intimacy and how to grow in it together.
  • Lunch
    Enjoy a catered Mexican meal together.
  • Session 6: Practical Application & Q&A
    Ask questions and apply what you’ve learned.
  • Session 7: Unfulfilled Longings
    Learn how to respond biblically when marriage isn’t what you hoped it would be.
